Augustana College announced 839 students were named to the Dean's List for the 2013 fall term. Students who have earned this academic honor have maintained a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher on a four-point scale for courses taken during the term.

Augustana College in Rock Island, Ill., has a team of 116 student admissions ambassadors who help the Office of Admissions recruit new students.

Senior level Art majors will exhibit their creations in the main gallery of the Art Building, on display from December 4 - 21, 2013. The works on display show advanced projects in media ranging from graphic design to fine art and textiles. Participating students design, curate and install the exhibition.

Several area residents received merit scholarships to attend Fort Lewis College for the Fall 2013 semester. These merit scholarships are renewable for up to 120 credits if criteria are met. Fort Lewis College also offers several other scholarships, including grants, the Finish in Four! Scholarship, FLC Foundation scholarships, alumni scholarships, departmental scholarships, Native American scholarships, and outside scholarships.

Founded in 1991, the Fort Lewis College Environmental Center (EC) is a campus organization committed to working for environmental sustainability and social justice both at Fort Lewis College and in the Durango community. The Fall 2013 semester welcomed more than 1300 new transfer and freshmen students to Durango, Colorado.

This summer nine Augustana students are participating in full-scale scientific research projects under the guidance of their faculty advisors, gaining experience to utilize in graduate school and careers after college. Each summer research project is funded through an Augustana Summer Student Research Fellowship.

Thirty-six Augustana College students studied abroad in Ireland for 11 weeks. The students arrived in March and returned home at the end of May.
